Datca – is a small, quiet and cozy resort town, located on the homonymous peninsula in 75 km from Marmaris. It is a popular place for divers, yachtsmen and elderly tourists from different countries.
Reach Danes You can either car on the road (endpoint route D400), or on the boat on the sea. The road winding and even a little narrow, the trip from Marmaris to Danes be approximately 1,5 hours. Note, that throughout the road on the peninsula there will be no settlement, our AZS – Only a few tourist campsites. At the entrance to the city can be seen “vetryaki” (vetrogeneratorы).
The road itself is very zhivopiskaya. Along it are common olive fields and bee hive, and it is no accident – at Danes producing excellent olive oil and honey bee. And yet here are grown almonds – considered one of the best in Turkey.
At the Datca Peninsula has several features.
1) Datca is a symbol of a windmill.
2) The peninsula separates the two seas – Aegean and Sredezemnoe.
3) Incredibly healthy air – doctors recommend a vacation Danes people, suffering from respiratory tract and heart diseases.
There is a legend, that in the time of Julius Caesar landed on the peninsula doomed to die of smallpox patients. And when the ship was back in a few years, they found absolutely healthy “migrants”. Even the ancient Greek geographer and historian Strabo (64-23 y. BC) in his works he wrote: “Him, whom the gods love, they send in Datca, so he lived a long time”.
